The department of Malargüe is the largest in the province of Mendoza, with its more than 42,000 km2 it houses six natural reserves that preserve specimens of the biodiversity of the foothills, the high Andean and Patagonian ecoregion.
All these natural reserves have exceptional landscapes resulting from curious geological processes both of the main mountain range and of the extra-Andean region. The enormous volcanic fields, wetlands, rivers, valleys, and mountains protect countless natural beauties ready to be discovered.
